Covering face and head can be another continuing trend as in current economical climate people tend to cover themselves. I've always loved graphical, geometrical forms and architecture is an endless source of inspiration for me. I think that geometry will remain a trend for couple of future seasons. It can manifest itself in fabric patterns, geometrical shapes, silhouettes, clothing details. Today I went to Spitafields market to do some inspirational research for trend project. I was quite surprised to see more older people than youth. Same situation I've seen in Camden town. It seems that young people are either too busy or not interested in going to those market places. I'll be posting here updates of my trend spotting research, which is rather exciting. Aim is to travel to different parts of London and find interesting objects, do sketches, photos. After the extended research I'll have to spot main trends and develop them further. Here are photos of my first trip: Last Saturday I was taking part in studio based photo shoot with professional and lovely people: Stylist and hair: Frankie Murray Photographer: Hannah Coates, owner of ZEST OF THE LOGANBERRY Photographer assistant: Rebecca Need-Minear MUA and wig creator: Ezme Thomas Model: Jade Bianca I've given my praying mantis inspired organza dress for the shoot and I can't wait to see the final result of the shoot. You can see some behind the scenes sneaky pictures below. |
